Transmission valve body repair

Transmission Valve Body Repair

Transmission valve body repair covers the valve body itself: screening, cleaning, sleeve repair of worn bores, and bench testing. This page follows the documented repair sequence and explains what each step does and does not cover.

Repair follows a sequence, not a single operation

Valve body repair is not one job. The documented sequence starts with defect screening of core parts, including the valve body and its solenoids, removing worn, deformed, fatigued or out-of-tolerance parts instead of returning them to service. It continues with multi-stage ultrasonic cleaning of reusable metal and hydraulic parts, followed by replacement of high-frequency wear parts, then sleeve repair where a bore is worn, and finally bench testing of the assembly.

The sleeve repair step

Where a valve bore is worn, the documented repair is a sleeve repair: a sleeve is fitted to the worn bore rather than relying on polishing alone. Polishing can clean a surface, but it does not restore a worn bore in the same way, and buyers should ask directly whether a repair uses a sleeve where the bore is worn. The valve bore sleeve repair page covers this step as a service of its own, and the valve bore page covers the bore itself.

What repair does not cover

Valve body repair covers the valve body level: passages, bores, spool valves, solenoids, gaskets and covers. It does not, on this site, expand into a complete transmission rebuild, and it does not promise fitment for any particular application. If the fault lies outside the valve body, the right route is a different inquiry, not a larger valve body repair claim.

Repair or replacement

Repair suits a valve body whose damage is limited and recoverable, for example a worn bore that can take a sleeve. Replacement suits a valve body whose damage is wider, or a job where time matters more than recovering the existing unit. The valve body replacement page sets out the replacement route so that the two can be compared on the same terms.

What to confirm before ordering a repair

Describe the valve body fault in your own terms and share any inspection findings you hold. Do not assume a repair route until the bore and solenoid condition is known.

Share the item, the quantity and your target date. Ask for MOQ and lead time for your order. Ask whether bench testing covers oil flow, pressure stability, shift response and sealing for the repaired unit, and confirm packaging and warranty before ordering. Warranty is at least 1 year.

Confirm Before Ordering

Share the valve body or solenoid item you need, the quantity you have in mind, and your target date. Ask for MOQ and lead time for your order, and confirm fitment details before ordering.
