A general category, not a single part
The word transmission solenoid covers every solenoid function inside the valve body, so it is the right starting page for a general inquiry and the wrong page for a final order. A final order should name the function: pressure control, shift, or lock-up. Naming the function avoids the most common inquiry error, which is ordering a solenoid that switches correctly but performs the wrong job in the valve body.
The three functions
- Pressure control solenoids regulate oil pressure across the valve body and are described as EPC solenoids in company materials.
- Shift solenoids operate the shift valves that sequence gear changes.
- TCC solenoids, also called lock-up solenoids, control torque converter lock-up.
The valve body solenoid page gives the same three functions from the valve body side, and each function page gives the detail a buyer needs before inquiring.
From general inquiry to a precise order
A general inquiry can still be useful. State that you are looking for transmission solenoids, describe the valve body job in your own terms, and list the symptoms or checks you have already made. The supplier can then ask for the identification details that turn a general inquiry into a precise order. What a general inquiry cannot do is confirm fitment, and this site does not publish a fitment list for any solenoid.
Bench testing applies to every function
Whatever the function, bench testing covers the same four items: oil flow, pressure stability, shift response and sealing. Ask for those four items by name when you inquire, and ask whether the test covers the solenoid alone or the solenoid fitted in the valve body assembly.
What to confirm before ordering
Confirm fitment details before ordering. Name the solenoid function, share the quantity and your target date, and ask for MOQ and lead time for your order.
Confirm packaging and warranty before ordering. Warranty is at least 1 year, and certificates are available upon request.
Confirm Before Ordering
Share the valve body or solenoid item you need, the quantity you have in mind, and your target date. Ask for MOQ and lead time for your order, and confirm fitment details before ordering.
