Transmission valve body

Transmission Valve Body Supply, Repair and Testing

This site covers one part of the automatic transmission in depth: the transmission valve body, its solenoids, its solenoid valve kits, and the mechatronic unit. Use it to understand each category, to compare a full valve body assembly with a solenoid valve kit, and to prepare an inquiry that a supplier can answer without guessing.

Valve body categories

A valve body directs transmission fluid through passages and valves so that gear changes and lock-up can happen in the right order. Inside the valve body sit the spool valves that move within their bores, the solenoids that control oil pressure and switching, and the gaskets and cover that keep the assembly sealed. A fault in any one of these parts can show up as a shift problem, so buyers usually assess the valve body as a complete hydraulic control assembly rather than as a single loose part.

What this site covers

  • Valve body assemblies supplied as a complete set with solenoids, as described in the category page for the transmission valve body assembly.
  • Solenoids by function: pressure control, shift, and torque converter lock-up, each with its own category page.
  • Solenoid valve kits for buyers who need the solenoid set rather than a complete valve body.
  • The mechatronic unit, described here as a DCT integrated electronic valve body.
  • Valve bore and valve bore sleeve repair, valve body gaskets and covers, and the spool valve inside the valve body.
  • Valve body repair, replacement, bench testing, quality inspection, cleaning, sealing and packaging, each as its own service page.

How valve bodies are checked here

Before a valve body is treated as ready, it passes defect screening and bench testing. Screening removes worn, deformed, fatigued or out-of-tolerance core parts instead of returning them to service.

Bench testing for solenoids, sensors and valve body assemblies covers electronic and hydraulic checks: oil flow through the passages, pressure stability, shift response, and sealing. Those four checks are the standard bench-test items stated in the company process documentation, and they are repeated on the valve body testing page so that a buyer can ask for them by name in an inquiry.

Repair in one line

Where a valve bore is worn, the documented repair is a sleeve repair: a sleeve is fitted to the worn bore rather than relying on polishing alone. That distinction matters because polishing a worn bore does not restore its working surface in the same way, and it is the reason the valve bore sleeve repair page exists as a service page of its own.

Who this site is for

The buyer types named in company materials include repair shops, wholesalers, distributors, brand owners and end users. A repair shop usually inquires about a single valve body or solenoid set for a job in hand, while a wholesaler or distributor usually inquires about quantities and repeat supply. Both should use the same inquiry checklist: item, quantity, target date, and the fitment details they can confirm from their own side.

How to inquire

Share the valve body or solenoid item you need, the quantity you have in mind, and your target date. Ask for MOQ and lead time for your order. Confirm fitment details before ordering, and ask about bench testing, packaging and warranty for the items in your inquiry. Warranty is at least 1 year, and certificates are available upon request.
