What a valve body assembly includes
In the company parts list, the valve body assembly is the valve body together with its solenoid set. That is the working definition used on this site: the passages, spool valves, solenoids, gasket and cover are treated as one hydraulic control assembly, not as unrelated loose parts. A buyer who needs only the solenoid set should look at the solenoid valve kit page instead, and a buyer who needs the complete control assembly should start here.
Why the assembly is assessed as a whole
Oil pressure, shift timing and lock-up all depend on the same assembly working together. A solenoid that switches correctly cannot compensate for a leaking gasket, and a sound gasket cannot compensate for a worn valve bore. That is why defect screening covers the valve body and its solenoids as core parts, and why bench testing covers the assembly as a unit, checking oil flow, pressure stability, shift response and sealing together.
Assembly, repair and replacement
A complete assembly may be the right route when the existing valve body has more than one problem, for example a worn bore together with a faulty solenoid. A repair route may be the right route when the problem is limited, for example a single worn bore that can take a sleeve repair. The valve body repair page and the valve body replacement page set out those two routes side by side so that a buyer can compare them before deciding.
What to confirm before ordering
Confirm fitment details before ordering. An assembly is not interchangeable by appearance alone, and this site does not publish a fitment list.
- The exact valve body or assembly item you need, described in your own terms and with any identification details you hold.
- Whether you need the complete assembly or only the solenoid set.
- The quantity you have in mind and your target date, so that MOQ and lead time for your order can be quoted.
- Whether bench testing, packaging and warranty terms should be stated for your order.
Inquiry checklist
Share the item, the quantity and the target date. Ask for MOQ and lead time for your order. Ask about bench testing for the assembly, and confirm packaging and warranty before ordering. Warranty is at least 1 year, and certificates are available upon request.
