What a TCC solenoid does
A torque converter normally allows slip between engine and transmission, and lock-up removes that slip at cruising conditions by clutching the converter directly. The TCC solenoid controls that lock-up action from inside the valve body. If it engages at the wrong time, fails to engage, or cannot hold lock-up, the driver feels it as shudder, slipping or unexpected unlocking, and the fault is investigated at the solenoid and the valve body together.
Lock-up is a separate function
Lock-up is not a gear change and it is not pressure regulation, even though all three functions share the same valve body. A lock-up complaint should therefore be answered with a lock-up inquiry, not with a shift solenoid or a pressure control solenoid. The valve body solenoid page sets the three functions side by side for exactly this check.
How a TCC solenoid is checked
Bench testing for solenoids covers oil flow, pressure stability, shift response and sealing. For a TCC solenoid, the sealing and response items matter most in practice: a lock-up solenoid that leaks or responds late cannot hold lock-up steadily. Ask whether bench testing covered the TCC solenoid function in your order, and whether the test covered the solenoid alone or the solenoid fitted in the valve body assembly.
Single solenoid or solenoid valve kit
A single TCC solenoid inquiry suits a single identified lock-up fault. A solenoid valve kit suits a job where several solenoid functions are replaced together, or where a workshop stocks the set. The solenoid valve kit page compares the two routes.
What to confirm before ordering
This site does not publish a TCC solenoid fitment list. Confirm fitment details before ordering, and name the lock-up function in your inquiry.
Share the quantity and your target date. Ask for MOQ and lead time for your order, and confirm packaging and warranty before ordering. Warranty is at least 1 year.
